Bill Lang quoted in China Daily on the 15th Five-Year Plan

IRI Chairman Bill Lang told China Daily that a modernised industrial system and high-quality development open real opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises in both countries.

China Daily’s international edition interviewed Bill Lang, chairman of Small Business Australia and IRI co-founder and chairman, for its coverage of the communique of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the recommendations for the 15th Five-Year Plan.

He said the two themes of the communique — building a modernised industrial system and high-quality development — present opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises in both China and Australia.

“Today, dozens of Australian technology startups are actively seeking partnerships with Chinese investors and manufacturers. Together, they can accelerate commercialization, enhance supply chains and drive new waves of technological self-reliance and shared prosperity,” Lang said, adding that the communique’s focus on expanding high-standard opening-up also aligns with Australia’s global leadership in sports, health and medical technology.
