The Governor of Victoria visits the Nanjing centre
Six months after the Lord Mayor of Melbourne unveiled it, the Nanjing centre received the Governor of Victoria, Professor Margaret Gardner, for an on-site visit.
In September last year the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Nicholas Reece, travelled to Nanjing to witness the unveiling of the centre. This week the Governor of Victoria, Professor Margaret Gardner, visited the site in person.
Between those two visits sits the work that matters: a centre carrying the ambition of Australia–China cooperation in sports medicine and rehabilitation, established in Nanjing and now growing steadily.
IRI thanks the colleagues and partners in both countries who have supported the centre through its first months of operation.
