What this course covers

Our training is delivered through online instruction videos and live-streaming video sessions. Training materials and delivery are in English and Mandarin Chinese.

This course provides doctors, nurses, therapists and all interested professionals with an overview of common principles and practices for treatment of the hip through the use of a variety of teaching and learning activities.

The hip is where the thigh bone meets the pelvis to form a ball-and-socket joint, and is one of the human body's largest weight-bearing joints.

In this course you will gain a deep understanding of the anatomy of the hip joint — its articulating surfaces, ligaments and neurovascular supply. In particular, you will learn about the structures and ligaments of the hip joint and how they act to increase stability. You will also analyse the arterial blood supply to the hip joint via the medial and lateral circumflex femoral arteries, and the critical stabilising factors. The primary function of the hip joint is to weight-bear, and the course examines all the factors that act to increase stability of the joint.

Medical professionals who complete this course will gain a thorough knowledge of the hip joint and the essential part it plays in the human body.

This course delivers rehabilitation training based on the Australia-US model. If you are in China and you want to learn hip rehabilitation based on the Australia-US model, this course is designed for you.
