IRI provides various types and levels of training and certification for it's members. A number of Membership types is available, ranging from Students to Fellows.

Student

Student membership enables you to apply through IRI for training placements and internships with our partner organisations as well as eligibility to attend at IRI networking and development events being held in Australia and China.

Students are eligible to join if they are currently enrolled in an international or nationally (Australian or Chinese) recognised undergraduate or graduate study program in health. The eligible areas of study include:

  • physiotherapy
  • Exercise Science
  • occupational therapy
  • speech therapy
  • rehabilitation
  • health science
  • general practice medicine
  • orthopaedic surgery
  • sports medicine

MEMBERSHIP · IRT IN TRAINING

Graduate

Graduate members have completed their degree qualification and have successfully completed IRI's Foundation Knowledge Exams and have commenced their Level 1 or Level 2 IRI Certification studies.

They have successfully graduated with an internationally or nationally recognised qualification in the eligible areas of study which include:

  • physiotherapy
  • physical therapy
  • occupational therapy
  • speech therapy
  • rehabilitation
  • health science
  • general practice medicine
  • orthopaedic surgery

TWO PARALLEL BRANCHES FROM GRADUATE

Level 1: Major Joints

Level 1 membership is available to professionals who have completed the training and successfully completed their examinations in at least 2 units of major joint and neuro injury international rehabilitation. Currently the units cover Knee, Hip and Brain injury rehabilitation

Level 2 membership is available to Graduate - IRT in Training who have then completed the training and successfully completed their Level 2 examinations.

Fellow

A Fellow will have over 20 years of post-graduate professional experience in health and medicine related to wellness, health optimisation and post injury/disease rehabilitation.
